Dr. Farooq being an internal medicine doctor or “internist” focuses on adult medicine. At least three of his 5 years of medical school and 3 years of residency and postgraduate training are dedicated to learning how to prevent, diagnose, and treat diseases that affect adults. Internists such as Dr. Farooq, are sometimes referred to as the "doctor's doctor," because they are often called upon to act as consultants to other physicians to help solve puzzling diagnostic problems.
What's the difference between Dr. and Farooq and family / general medicine practitioners?
